Inaugural Programme of KETSANGRIJU: An Indigenous Skills Training Centre, was held at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung on 30th June 2021 at 1:00 PM. This Morung was donated by Chuchuyimpang Village Council, 2021.
The building Ketsangriju will be utilised by the College as a Centre for imparting Indigenous Skills and Vocational Courses to the students of Fazl Ali College. A solid grounding on one's culture and tradition is vital to the development of an individual's character and personality. Students must be clear about their roots and identity before they step out to a world of multiple possibilities. The symbolic Arju (Morung) donated by Chuchuyimpang Riongsanger Putu Tatar Menden will be a stepping stone towards the academic roadmap of the College.
Mrs. Toshisangla, IQAC FAC Member [Asstt. Prof. Ao Dept] chaired the programme, while Ms. Helen Jamir, Principal, FAC delivered the inaugural key note address. On behalf of the college fraternity she acknowledged and thanked the Chuchuyimpang Village Council for the much needed unique one of its kind centre/morung built within the college campus. Chairman, Chuchuyimpang Village Council in his speech was immensely proud to donate the Morung/building on behalf of the council to the oldest college in the state of Nagaland. The project to build the Morung was decided on March 5, 2021 by the village council along with the college authority. He envisioned that the true purpose of Ketsangriju will benefit thousands of learners and realise positive results in the near future. The building project was entrusted to three person of the council member and the final total cost of the building stands at ₹5,39,790/- (rupees five lakhs thirty nine thousand seven hundred ninety). The dedictatory Prayer was given by Rev. W. Supong Kichutzar, Pastor, Tzusapang Baptist Church.
